Consultation Process
The Mater Campus Hospital Development LTD (MCHD) has embarked on an extensive consultation process with a variety of groups in both hospitals in order to ensure that the New Hospital Campus meets the needs of both existing hospitals.
Approximately 50 user groups from the hospital have been established and their role is mainly to make recommendations in relation to detailed planning of departments right down to room level. Each user group is made up of consultants, nurse managers, departmental managers, line managers and other interested partners. The members provide much of the expert knowledge required for the development and their input is fed through the MCHD nurse planners to the Design teams. Each Group will draw up operational policies, formulate, discuss and agree the detailed planning of each department and review existing equipment and required equipment schedules.
NEIGHBOURS
MCHD's communications strategy is to keep all neighbouring residents and businesses in the area informed about the Development. MCHD will be encouraging dialogue with neighbours about the Development as the plans develop.
PRESENTATIONS
We are happy to meet with any party that has an interest in the project and would like to be briefed on its progress. MCHD will give a presentation of the development to members of the public or interested groups by appointment. Please visit the model of the Development in the reception of the MCHD office.
